Our Annual Fund Dinner is held every spring and is a celebration of God's faithful provision for Scofield Christian School. It is also the main way we bridge the gap between income received from tuition and on-going school expenses.
The 2017 Annual Fund Dinner was held at the Perot Museum in downtown Dallas. A delicious buffet dinner was served as guests were entertained by the Scofield All School Choir and Cornerstone Chorale. The highlight was a hilarious tribute to Dr. Thomas - pirate style!
We were honored to have not one, but three, fantastic speakers. Councilman Adam McGough inspired us with his opening remarks, followed by SCS Alumnus Katie Norris. Mrs. Norris described how our Awesome God led her to create the unique non-profit Fotolanthropy. The final speaker was the incredible Michelle Carter whose story of triumph over repeated tribulation in her quest for the Olympic Gold Medal is a testament to God’s faithfulness to His promises. The evening ended with an invitation to tour the Perot Museum at leisure starting on the 4th floor where dessert was waiting. Michelle Carter stayed afterwards to socialize with guests and many were able to pose for photos with her and even touch her gold medal!
